Pop® Rivet Tool Preventive Maintenance Program

Eckart & Finard is an authorized POP® Rivet Tool repair center. Our two technicians have over 30 years of combined POP® tool repair experience.

  • A well-maintained stock of POP® Rivet Tools.
  • Reduced downtime and expense caused by tool malfunction.
  • Reporting by specific tool, identifying maintenance dates, repairs, etc.
  • Access to loaner tools, if extended service is required for any tool.

At the initiation of the program, all customer tools are identified and labeled. POP® tools to be maintained by the program will first undergo a thorough inspection and be refurbished to original POP® specifications. Prior to any repairs, an estimate of the cost to refurbish each tool is submitted to the customer for approval. Then, on a predetermined schedule, a selected number of POP® tools are forwarded to Eckart & Finard in a sequence that ensures all tools are maintained on a consistent basis. Eckart & Finard completes a full inspection, oil change and performance test for a nominal charge. If additional repairs are required, a complete estimate indicating the repairs necessary is provided for customer approval. In addition, Eckart & Finard maintains a log of all tools repaired by specific customer and tool number. This report assists the customer in identifying problematic tools and possible mishandling or misuse of tools by line operators.

Application Engineering

Eckart & Finard analyzes the ways in which our individual customers use fasteners to assemble equipment. We may then suggest alternative products and/or methods when such re-engineering would result in less expensive hardware, faster assembly time or better quality assembly. We will investigate any application where faster, better or less costly methods may be introduced. In addition, Eckart & Finard offers seminars to help educate and train customers in the use and application of fasteners.

Remote barcode ordering

Eckart & Finard's Industrial Barcode Management System is a paperless, keyless ordering system. The customer is supplied with barcoded labels for bins, tote stations, buycards, etc. When an item needs to be reordered, its label is scanned into a data collection unit. Once all items for reorder have been scanned, the information is transmitted electronically to a dedicated computer at our facility. The order is verified and sent to our warehouse for processing.
